Natural wonders

       In the world

The Earth offers spectacular natural wonders that only a small percentage of people will ever see in their lifetime.

Naracoorte caves national park

Out Mount Gambier way, you can find one of the world’s major fossil sites, where half a million years ago, giant marsupials fell into the caves. While most of the caves at this subterranean spot are closed to the public, you can still visit four. There you can marvel at the stalagmites and stalactites, as well as visiting fossil sites and going adventure caving.Entry to Naracoorte caves National park is free, however tour fees apply.Don't forget that the caves cafe is open every day for a light lunch or a sit down meal before or after your tour. For many years the first chamber of Blanche cave was a favorite gathering place for locals.

Maria Island

Maria Island, is a mountainous island located in the Tasman Sea, off the east coast of Tasmania, Australia. The 115.5-square-kilometre island is contained within the Maria Island National Park, which includes a marine area of 18.78 square kilometres off the island's northwest coast.

Maria Island is actually two main islands joined by a sandy isthmus. Near the isthmus, you can explore the ruins of a convict era probation station at Point Lesueur. The picturesque remains of nearby French's Farm are also worth visiting.Cape Barren geese are common on the island, as are eastern grey kangaroos, eastern bettongs and other marsupials. ... Tasmania's three species of snake are all found on the island: the tiger snake, lowland copperhead and white-lipped snake.

Rottnest Island

Rottnest Island sits just offshore from the city of Perth, in Western Australia. A protected nature reserve, it's home to the quokka, a small wallaby-like marsupial. White-sand beaches and secluded coves include the Basin, with its shallow waters, and Thomson Bay, the main hub and ferry port. Strickland Bay is known for its surf breaks, while reef breaks occur at Radar Reef, off the island's far western tip.Rottnest is worth a visit! If you can pick a good weather day, go ahead and spoil yourself and enjoy the adventure, meet the happiest animal on the planet and don't forget to grab that famous
Rottnest is best when staying at least 2 nights that way you can relax and get around the island and enjoy the spots while not being rushed, I wouldn't go anywhere to spend at least 2 nights.

Lake Hillier

Lake Hillier is a saline lake on the edge of Middle Island, the largest of the islands and islets that make up the Recherche Archipelago in the Goldfields-Esperance region, off the south coast of Western Australia. It is particularly notable for its pink colour. Lake Hillier was first discovered in 1802 by the British Navigator and Cartographer Mathew Flinders aboard the HMS Investigator. In January of the same year, he went ashore and climbed the highest peak on the island which is named after him today.

Some speculate that Lake Hillier's color, like that of the other lakes, is the result of high salinity combined with the presence of a salt-loving algae species known as Dunaliella salina and pink bacteria known as halobacteria.

Mackenzie Falls

Rising from plains that are home to thousands of kangaroos is the largest waterfall in the Grampians National Park. Mackenzie Falls sits 235km west of Melbourne and is a spectacular site for any visitor. It gives off a rainbow mist when water gushes from the falls to the gorge 30m below and is a natural wonder you should add to your itinerary.

The Great Ocean Road

The Great Ocean Road is one of the most iconic experiences for a traveller to have while visiting Australia. The road winds along the Southern Ocean past Bells Beach and the limestone spires of the 12 Apostles (now eight in number). Hire a car and explore this stretch is magnificence over the course of a few days.

The Great Ocean Road is an Australian National Heritage listed 243-kilometre stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Allansford.
Let's go friend  to find natural wonders in the world.
