Most beautiful island of the world

Most beautiful island of the world

           Palawan

Palawan is the largest island in the Palawan Province, in the western Philippines. The capital, Puerto Princesa, is known for the biodiverse Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, where boats run along an underground river through vast caves. Off the east coast, Honda Bay’s islands are dotted with resorts. Farther out in the Sulu Sea, Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park has reefs teeming with marine life.

Max length: 425 km
Area: 12,189 km²
Capital and largest city: Puerto Princesa (pop. 255,116)
Island group: Malay Archipelago
Area rank: 64th

The easiest and most common way to go to Palawan is by riding a plane, with Puerto Princesa as the main jump-off. There are also flights going to El Nido, Coron, and San Vicente. However, more flights are going to Puerto Princesa, and it covers international flights aside from domestic.

Compared to other Filipino destinations, Palawan is one of the safest places for tourists that are seeking a tropical holiday. There are few safety risks, but if you're vigilant and follow the instructions of your tour guide, it's very unlikely that you'll encounter danger.

Palawan's dry season starts in October and ends in May. For the best combination of agreeable temperatures of around 27°C and as little rain as possible, the best time to visit Palawan is between February and March.
